AMERICA'S INNOVATION SHOWCASE™ KICKS OFF IN SAN FRANCISCO ON OCTOBER 16

Michael Tchong’s Social Revolution and the CMO Council Partner on Inaugural Event to Celebrate and Inspire the Next Wave of Tech-driven Innovations

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2013)—America's Innovation Showcase (AmericasInnovationShowcase.com), an immersive event created to help celebrate and spur innovation in North America, will debut on October 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Folsom Street Foundry in San Francisco. Produced by Social Revolution (www.socialrevolution.co), in partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council (www.cmocouncil.org), the event will showcase technology trends, disruptive ideas and innovation strategies that are poised to reshape markets, shake up social conventions and drive new categories of products, services and customer experiences.

With headline participation from NTT Innovation Institute, Inc. (NTT i3), America's Innovation Showcase is a new concept created by futurist and renowned speaker, Michael Tchong (@ubercool), that aims to stimulate creativity and innovation by surrounding attendees with a live snapshot of innovative new business ideas and trends. NTT i3 is the new Silicon Valley-based open innovation and applied R&D center being launched by NTT Group, one of the world’s third largest global technology companies and a leader in IT and communications products and services.

Attendees will experience the latest trends in technology, plus innovative new ideas driving entrepreneurs and venture capitalists today. The event will include speakers showcasing the innovation strategies of six companies:

  • Jason Johnson, CEO, August (Smart Lock)

  • Bill O'Connor, Founder Innovation Genome Project, Autodesk

  • Uzi Shmilovici, Founder & CEO, Base (CRM)

  • Srini Koushik, CEO, NTT i3

  • Monique Woodard, Innovation Fellow, Office of San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee

"The number of chief innovation offices around the globe has more than doubled in the past three years, which underscores the relevance of America's Innovation Showcase," says producer Michael Tchong. "This 15-city North American tour will help coalesce the forces of creativity, energy, passion and direction the innovation market needs today."

“Technology change continues to disrupt and reframe markets, social and customer experiences, and the hierarchy of global brands,” adds Donovan Neale-May, Executive Director of the CMO Council. “Marketers and innovation officers need to get smart about what’s coming next. That’s what this event aims to help them do.”
