Stephen George was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Timex Group, the global watch and technology company. He was responsible for the global strategic direction for the Timex brand, including development of new growth platforms as well as all aspects of marketing, licensing and digital media/e-commerce. Over the past 16 years, Mr. George has developed a successful record of building new businesses, brands and products in the consumer technology, durable goods, and consumer products industries. Most recently he served as Director of Global Marketing and Product Innovation at Samsung Electronics, where he was responsible for producing and driving transformational ideas to market via consumer-focused new product development and strategic brand marketing activities. During his tenure, Samsung grew in brand value at double digit pace, achieving a 19th place ranking on the Interbrand Top 100 List in 2009 and 2010, and global leadership in the HDTV category.  Mr. George came to Samsung from Philips Electronics where he served as the senior U.S. Marketing Executive for Norelco, a $275 million consumer products business. He spent the early part of his career with Procter & Gamble in Europe, building brands such as Pantene Pro-V and Olay. Mr. George holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He is a citizen of the U.S. and the UK.
