Dr. Noor Azizi Ismail is a Professor in Accounting Information Systems. He holds a Master’s Degree specializing in Accounting Systems from The University of Memphis, USA; and a PhD in Accounting Information Systems from Loughborough University, UK. Professionally, he is a Certified Management Accountant. He is also a member of Malaysian Institute of Management, Institute of Marketing Malaysia, and CMO Council Academic Liaison Board. Dr Azizi is an accredited trainer with SAS Institute Sdn Bhd, a company specializing in business intelligence software, a research fellow with ITU-UUM Asia Pacific Centre of Excellence, a Deputy Director (Network) Chair for ABEST21, and a former panel member of the Malaysian Qualification Agency. Currently, Dr Azizi is a Dean of Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business, UUM and the founder and Secretary General of World Association of Business Schools in Islamic Countries. His primary teaching interest is accounting and information systems. His research interests include management accounting systems, information systems, IT governance, activity-based management and performance measurement. To date, he has completed 30 research projects and published more than 50 articles in both local and international journals, 15 articles in professional and popular journals, and more than 30 articles in refereed conference proceedings. He has authored/co-authored 6 books/monographs. Dr Azizi is also an editorial/reviewer board member of several reputable journals both local and international. He has also involved in several accounting and information systems-related consultancy projects. Recognizing his excellence 18 years in service, Dr Azizi received UUM excellence service award in 2000, 2006 and 2008. He also received SAS Lecturer Excellence Award from SAS Institute Sdn Bhd in 2008. During his Deanship, Dr Azizi was presented an Innovation Leadership Award during Asia’s 2nd Best B-School Award by CMO Asia in 2011 and B-School Leadership Award by World Education Congress in 2012.
