Chandrashekhar is a dynamic senior marketing professional with extensive experience in marketing and operations in the telecom and FMCG domains in India and outside. He was formerly the CMO at Bharti Airtel Sri Lanka, leading the marketing function and spearheading the strategic and operational delivery responsibilities for the fastest growing telecom operator in the country. He is charged with managing the product life cycle from developing pre launch strategies, executing market launch and implementing suitable strategic tactics to achieve business targets in terms of contributory margins and volumes. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, he leads a team of 22 product professionals and brand & data analysts. Chandrashekhar played a major role in Airtel becoming the first operator in South Asia to launch 4G-LTE services as well as offer an exhaustive product portfolio of 2g, 3g, 4g and broadband. Prior to Airtel, Mr. Chauhan held leadership roles at Hutchison Fascel (now Vodafone) and Nirma Consumer Care. He earned a B.Sc in Mathematics from Vikram University, Ujjain in 1994 and an MBA from Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Business Management (FMS), Vikram University in 1996.
