CMO COUNCIL APPOINTS ADVISORY BOARD CHAIRMAN FOR LATIN AMERICAN REGION

Knight to spearhead regional activities to expand CMO Council presence in Latin America

PALO ALTO, Calif. (March 24, 2011) – The CMO Council has named business leader Ray Knight as Chairman of the CMO Council's Latin America Advisory Board. Knight’s background includes serving as Chief Marketing Officer or equivalent for a variety of private and publicly held regional, national and international corporations.


Knight founded and has operated several companies: Knight International Inc., an international marketing consulting company, KnightWorks, Inc., an international business consulting company, and The RaynMakers, an outsourced sales management/ business development agency. The RaynMakers, the first and only for-profit, WomenCertified business development agency in the United States, specializes in collaborating with women-owned companies and women executives to help them sell their products and services more efficiently, effectively, appropriately with greater market penetration and far greater ROI.


In his new capacity as Chair, Knight will spearhead efforts approved by the CMO Council to increase communications amongst existing members in the region. Additionally, he will design and implement a strategy to expand membership within the region to generate thought leadership and best practices with South Florida-based Latin America corporate executives as well as other senior marketing executives in Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean basin. Knight, formerly the Chair/ Co-Chair for seven years of the South Florida chapter of the leading domestic senior marketing executives association MENG, is looking forward to leveraging his extensive network of contacts through a combination of both digital distribution channels and in person knowledge-share and thought leadership meetings for members and guest speakers.

Among them are Cavo, Copa Airlines, UBS, National Commercial Bank of Jamaica, Hewlett Packard, UBS, Goodyear and Sao Paulo Tourism.
