Judy is currently CMO at cyber security experts, Acmetek Global Solutions in Austin, Texas. She is an AI and Digital Trust enthusiast and a member of the CMO Council’s Africa Advisory Board. Judy began her professional life in the pulp and paper industry after receiving an Engineering Diploma and achieving qualifications in Instrumentation and Process Control through the MEIETB. She then moved her career into the petrochemical industry and later into the mining and energy industries. while working for multinational corporations including Emerson Process Management, Houston and Metso Automation, Helsinki. Judy made significant advancements in the construction industry while working at Grinaker LTA (a division of Aveng), where she served as board member for the Middle East and Africa region on a global board responsible for mining projects. Judy has a Master of Business Administration degree, a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Organizational Psychology, and she is presently working on her Doctor of Philosophy. She has extensive experience working in the retail industry as well as the building materials and construction industries in Africa. She has received her Director certification from the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IODSA), and she remains committed to maintaining high standards of corporate governance in all facets of her work. Judy has worked in the Building and Construction, Pulp and Paper, Petrochemical, Mining, and Retail Consumer Goods Industries for over 25 years, during which time she has gained extensive technical, practical, and business managerial experience. Her experience lies primarily in the areas of business and marketing strategies, portfolio analysis, and business change management. She is an expert in successfully putting M&A initiatives into action. A transformational leader and marketing expert who specializes in driving profitable growth in competitive sectors, through proactive brand management, customer engagement, and business development. She believes that this is accomplished by building strong relationships with existing customers and cultivating new ones. Judy is known for being an effective leader who is capable of motivating and developing teams in such a way that they are able to realize their full potential and contribute positively to the organization.
