Retail Banking veteran, with more than 25 years of experience within Retail & Commercial Business/ Marketing in various leading Multinationals.   Haitham Hammad holds a BA in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science and holds an MBA degree from the Maastricht School of Management Sciences in the Netherlands with specialization of Marketing Management. With his extensive banking experience, Mr. Hammad experience varies between retail banking product development, marketing management, brand management, digital financial services development as well as private banking services.   Mr. Hammad worked in multiple financial institutions - global and local - in different geographies, through which he managed retail banking product development and marketing teams in various locations such as the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Egypt and Lebanon.   In his current capacity as an Executive Vice President Head of Retail Banking and Distribution Channels – Mashreq Bank, Hammad is responsible for setting out effective strategies and implementation of key initiatives relating to digital innovation, sales efficiencies, risk, control & governance matters, in addition to oversight of front line sales and marketing sectors, in line with the bank’s objectives and the needs of the local market. Mashreq Bank - Egypt was awarded the best bank in the field of banking retail - by the Union of Arab Bankers during his tenure at the bank.   Previously Hammad was the Head of Retail Banking sector at SAIB, where he was responsible for launching all banking and digital products and services for individuals and he had many imprints of success at that time. Before that, Hammad was the Head of Marketing and Business Development - Retail Banking Services Group and branches of the largest private sector bank in Egypt, CIB-Egypt, and before that he was the Regional Head of Marketing and Business Development for North Africa and the Levant at HSBC Bank - Middle East.
