Karim Beg joined Visa in January 2011 as Head of Marketing for the Middle East, based in Dubai. He is responsible for Visa’s Marketing strategy and programs in the Middle East & North Africa, which includes the GCC, North-West Africa, the Levant and Pakistan. Mr. Beg brings with him nearly 22 years of experience in FMCG, Retail Banking and Cards across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Following a six-year assignment at Pepsi Cola International in various marketing roles, he spent 13 years with blue-chip financial institutions such as Citibank, Mashreq Bank and, most recently, ABN AMRO/RBS, where he was Head of Marketing and Consumer Finance for the UAE. Mr. Beg holds a master’s degree in Business Administration.
