Jeff Winter has more than 15 years of experience in the IT market in both strategy and marketing roles. He is currently the Global Head of Marketing for Pitney Bowes' Software Solutions business. Reporting jointly to the CMO and President of the Software Solutions business, Winter manages a cross-functional team across the Americas, EMEA and APAC that is responsible for growing the software business, including products, solutions and digital assets (APIs, data). Covering the entire marketing value chain across awareness/brand, demand generation, product marketing, analyst relations, media and PR, and retention/customer marketing, Winter’s team is also responsible for all indirect sales channels, working with resellers, OEMs and systems integrators to expand the software business. 
 
Prior to joining Pitney Bowes in February of 2016, Winter spent 10 years at SAP in various leadership roles in marketing in both global and regional capacities, including Vice President of Field and Channel Marketing in North America, Vice President of Global Services Marketing, and Vice President of Marketing for SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions. His experience at SAP covered the full range of marketing functions, including product marketing, field marketing, partner marketing, branding/naming, major product launches, market and competitive Intelligence, analyst relations and external media, and program development. He also drove the creation of an extensive account-based marketing program at SAP, which was recognized by both Sirius Decisions (Program of the Year) and the IT Services Marketing Association (Diamond Award) for excellence.   
 
Prior to joining SAP in 2006, Winter worked at the IBM headquarters in Somers, New York, where he helped develop the business and marketing strategies for the IBM e-business Hosting Services unit, which grew from $400 million in 2001 to $1.7 billion in 2004. He later worked in the Business Consulting Services and On-Demand Strategy team, where he was responsible for developing and communicating the IBM on-demand strategy and focused on identifying new markets, including business process outsourcing and cloud/software as a service. 
 
Winter is a passionate leader who thrives in matrixed environments, organizational transformations, and building new programs and initiatives. Particularly passionate about developing people's careers and mentoring, he holds an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia, and a bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He grew up outside of Washington, D.C., and now lives in Fairfield, Connecticut, with his wife and two young sons. He is an out-of-shape triathlete, enthusiastic and improving golfer, ambitious but tone-deaf guitar player, and political wonk. He also played professional basketball in Israel.
