New: Frederique Covington

Frederique Covington, the Singapore-based international marketing director of Twitter, is leaving the company to join Visa. She takes on the role of senior vice president, chief marketing officer, Asia for the credit card company and will be based in Singapore. The markets in her remit span the region, including India, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, New Zealand and Australia.

Linda Boff

Linda Boff, 54, has been promoted to vice president, Chief Marketing Officer, GE. Linda joined GE in 2003 and has held a series of leadership roles in GE and NBC Universal. She is a 2016 New York Women in Communications’ Matrix award winner, as well as one of FastCompany’s Most Creative People, and an Advertising Women of New York’s Changing the Game award winner. Previously, Linda worked for Citigroup as the director of marketing & communications. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Union College.

Jacqueline Parkes

Viacom’s MTV named Jacqueline Parkes, the former chief marketing officer for Major League Baseball,  as executive vice president of marketing and creative, and Eli Lehrer, formerly senior vice president and head of non-fiction programming at Lifetime, to oversee MTV2 as executive vice president, the network’s latest moves in its quest to turn around its TV ratings and become more relevant to a new and harder-to-reach generation of young viewers.

Adrianna Burrows

Stack Overflow, the popular online community and Q&A site for programmers, has hired Adrianna Burrows, a former Microsoft general manager, as its new chief marketing officer.

Jeff Weiser

Stock photography giant Shutterstock, Inc. has appointed Jeff Weiser to the role of chief marketing officer. Weiser arrives at the New York–based digital media company from fitness and exercise program developer Beachbody LLC, which he joined in 2010 as VP of strategic analysis and most recently served as senior VP of strategic analysis, database marketing and online acquisition. Prior to that, Weiser was a strategy and analytics VP at mobile game publisher Social Gaming Network, which was acquired in 2011 by MindJolt, the social game company led by MySpace co-founder Chris DeWolfe. Weiser was previously director of analytics at MySpace and a senior marketing analyst at Yahoo!

Carl Gish

Affirm today announced it has hired eBay Vice President Carl Gish to be its first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Gish will be responsible for enhancing and building Affirm’s global brand as the financial technology company begins expanding beyond point-of-sale payments.
