Aditya Save

Matchmaking website’s founder and CEO Anupam Mittal has stepped down from his role as CEO to focus on corporate development, acquisitions and international expansion, reports ET. COO Gourav Rakshit will take over as the CEO of Shaadi, as well as manage day to day responsibilities. The company has also appointed Aditya Save as its chief marketing officer.

Mukul Deoras

Consumer products maker Colgate-Palmolive Co has elevated Mukul Deoras as its new global chief marketing officer. From this month, IIM Ahmedabad alumnus Deoras will be responsible for an estimated $2-billion advertising budget at Colgate-Palmolive. 

Shihua Su

Daqo New Energy Corp., a leading polysilicon manufacturer based in China, announced the appointment of Mr. Ming Yang as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 6, 2015. In addition, Ms. Tracy Tianqun Zhou, currently Chief Marketing Officer, is leaving the Company to pursue personal endeavors, effective June 30, 2015. Succeeding Tracy Zhou as Chief Marketing Officer is Mr. Shihua Su, who is currently the acting Chief Financial Officer of the Company and will continue serving in such role until Mr. Ming Yang's appointment.

Howie Lau

StarHub has appointed a new chief marketing officer who will oversee not only marketing but also the Singapore media giant’s pay TV, broadband and content production businesses. Coming in from Lenevo’s finance wing, where he oversaw mergers and acquisitions as VP of corporate development is Howie Lau, who replaces Jeannie Ong. She has moved to a newly created role as chief strategic partnerships officer. Lau, who was previously VP of marketing and communications for Lenovo’s emerging markets, will run StarHub’s marketing functions and also its Entertainment & SmartLife and Media Business Unit divisions.

Justin Lambeth

Corner Bakery Cafe, a fast-casual restaurant franchise known for its ingredient-inspired menu and neighborhood cafe atmosphere, announced the appointment of food and beverage and consumer package goods industry veteran Justin Lambeth as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

VJ Bala

hCentive, the leader in health insurance exchange solutions has appointed VJ Bala as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing, reporting to Sanjay Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. As head of marketing and member of the Leadership Team, VJ oversees strategies to build the hCentive brand, commercialize products and solutions, develop new markets, and expand partnerships to drive the next phase of business growth.

Philip Gladman

William Grant & Sons has appointed Diageo's former marketing & innovation director for Africa as its next chief marketing officer. Philip Gladman, who left Diageo in July last year after 14 years, has assumed the CMO position at William Grant. He replaces Maurice Doyle, who left the spirits company last year to become head of Orangina Schweppes International. Gladman will also lead William Grant's Global Travel Retail operations.

Marc Mathieu

Samsung appointed Marc Mathieu as chief marketing officer to oversee all marketing for Samsung's North American operations, including televisions, home appliances and mobile devices. Mathieu "brings nearly two decades of expertise building and positioning some of the world's largest brands," Samsung said. He most recently served as the senior vice president of global marketing at Unilever and previously held the position of senior vice president of global brand marketing at Coca-Cola.

Lasse Lindqvist

Lasse Lindqvist, M.Sc., has been appointed as Marimekko’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and member of the Management Group as of 10 August 2015. As CMO, Lasse Lindqvist succeeds Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko who, alongside acting as the President of Marimekko, has so far also been in charge of the company’s marketing. 

Silvia Lagnado

McDonald's has named former Bacardi executive Silvia Lagnado as its new global chief marketing officer. The move follows former Global Brand Officer Steve Easterbrook's elevation to McDonald's CEO effective March 1. It also comes as McDonald's is working to reverse a prolonged sales decline not just in the U.S., but globally. McDonald's has not had a global chief marketing officer since Mary Dillon, who left the company in 2010.

Clay Dover

Pei Wei Asian Diner, the fast-casual division of P.F. Chang’s China Bistro Inc., has named Clay Dover to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based operator said Dover would oversee marketing, culinary and guest experience initiatives at the Asian-inspired concept.

Frank Cooper III

BuzzFeed has appointed Frank Cooper III as the company’s new Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Creative Officer. Cooper will be in charge of overseeing BuzzFeed’s entire global business and brand. He will work alongside the company’s leadership team to conduct market research, drive revenue, develop brand partnerships, and oversee marketing. Cooper will also lead BuzzFeed’s creative team and its branded content initiatives with the company’s advertising partners. The new CMO/COO will report to BuzzFeed President Greg Coleman and work out of the company’s New York office starting in late June 2015.

Roger Chacko

Carlson Rezidor announced the appointment of Roger Chacko as executive vice president and chief branding and marketing officer reporting to David P. Berg, chief executive officer, Carlson Hospitality Group. Chacko joined the company in 2014 on an interim basis and is responsible for all aspects of marketing and brand performance worldwide for Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and its brands including Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu®, Radisson®, Radisson Red, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM.

Kevin Crull

Sprint Corp. announced the appointment of Kevin Crull as chief marketing officer effective May 31. In his new role, Crull will be responsible for all products and services, brand and advertising, customer acquisition and retention, and all digital and social efforts. Crull will report to President and CEO Marcelo Claure.

John Aylward

HSN Inc. named John Aylward executive vice president and chief marketing officer for TV, mobile and web retailer HSN, where he will develop the brand and oversee marketing across the retailer’s sales channels and the creative team.

Jared Fix

Constellation Brands, Inc. a leading beverage alcohol company, announced today that Jared Fix has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer reporting to Jay Wright, president, Wine & Spirts Division. Fix will join the company effective June 8, 2015, replacing Chris Fehrnstrom who will be returning to a marketing and leadership consulting business he owned prior to joining Constellation.

Alan Shaw

Norfolk Southern, a premier transportation company, has named Alan Shaw executive vice president and chief marketing officer.The appointment is effective May 16, 2015, with an office in Norfolk and Shaw will report to NS President James Squires. He succeeds Donald Seale, who retired after 39 years in management positions in NS' marketing division.

Johnny Devitt

Betfair has appointed Director of Online Marketing Johnny Devitt as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Industry news source EGR Magazine, confirmed the appointment of Devitt who will take over marketing and branding initiatives for Betfair. The operator had created the senior management role following the departure of former Brand Director Mark Ody as Betfair merges online marketing and branding responsibilities under the leadership of its new CMO.

CĂ©line Choussy Bedouet

Lectra, a leader in integrated technology solutions dedicated to industries using soft materials, has appointed Céline Choussy Bedouet as Chief Marketing Officer. Céline Choussy Bedouet, who was previously Marketing Director for Automotive and Furniture, will now cover all of Lectra’s markets.

Terrance Williams

Nationwide has selected twenty year company veteran Terrance Williams as its new chief marketing officer, replacing Matt Jauchius months after the airing of a highly controversial Super Bowl ad, AdAge reports. Joe Case, a spokesman for Nationwide told the publication that Jauchius left to pursue other opportunities, adding, “[He] accomplished a great deal during his time at Nationwide, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
